John Utendahl is a 25+ year Wall Street Veteran with a documented history of success and innovation. John is the founding member and Chairman of the Utendahl Organization – one of the nation’s premier full-scale, minority-owned financial service institutions. The organization’s five entities include: Utendahl Capital Partners (“UCP”), a broker dealer/investment bank; Utendahl Capital Management (“UCM”), a fixed income asset management firm; UrbanAmerica (“UA”), a commercial real estate fund; United Enterprise Fund (“UEF”), a private equity fund; and Praesidian Capital Investors (“PCI”), a mezzanine fund. John’s career began at Salomon Brothers, after which he was a trading desk manager at Merrill Lynch’s corporate bond department. John received his B.S. from Long Island University, and then went on to receive his M.B.A. from Columbia University. John is currently on the Board of Directors of Family Promise. He has also served as a director on several boards for organizations that were of particular importance to him, both professionally and personally. These board memberships have included the Securities Industry Association (SIA), the US Fund for UNICEF, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He holds FINRA series 7 and 24 registrations.
